Google compra Writely

Pois bem, o Google foi às compras novamente e comprou mais um site. A Writely foi o primeiro editor on-line colaborativo via web usando ajax (alguém disse web2.0? ).
A estratégia do Google divulgada numa apresentação recente, estabelece como metas além da preocupação com a busca a produção de conteúdo na web, e o Writely é exatamente isso, um editor de textos na Web.
Há quem já esteja dizendo que isso é a grande ameaça à suÃte Office da Microsoft.

(*) a ausência se deve principalmente por instabilidades nos servidores que hospedam o Teras devido a uma mudanca de hardware. Com a instabilidade do serviço de hosting, ora o DNS aponta para o IP novo ora pro antigo, com isso posts se perderam e comentários ficaram em servidores separados. Em suma, já deve estar normalizado semana que vem.
